The Turkish shipyard Sirena Marine caused a stir on the market years ago with a new line of performance cruisers. The Azuree 33 and 40 showcased an exclusive, yet coherent boat concept with an unusual look (double test in YACHT 5/2011). Now, with the Azuree 46, the programme is being expanded upwards into the upper luxury class. The plans for the chic performance boat were drawn up by designer Rob Humphreys.

The comprehensive test of the Azuree 46 will appear in the next issue of YACHT No. 3/2014, which will be available from newsagents from 22 January 2014. The first photos from the test in Istanbul are already available here as an image gallery.

The Azuree 46 is celebrating its German premiere at the boot trade fair in Düsseldorf (18 to 26 January). The boat can be seen in Hall 16, Stand D 58.

Editor Test & Technology

Michael Good is test editor at YACHT and is primarily responsible for new boats, their presentation and the production of test reports. Michael Good lives and works in Switzerland on the shores of Lake Constance. He has been sailing since childhood and, in addition to his professional activities, has also been an active regatta sailor for many years, currently mainly in the Finn Dinghy and Melges 24 classes. He is also co-owner of a 45 National Cruiser built in 1917. Michael Good has been working for the YACHT editorial team since January 2005 and has tested around 500 yachts, catamarans and dinghies in that time.
